**This is the job** Joining the AA as a Solution Architect, you will support specific change delivery within the Insurance portfolio by bridging the specific business problems and issues to the technologies that support them and the ongoing improvement of the IT estate.

You will be project-facing and provide two key areas of support: a business focus on ensuring the correct alignment of the technology with the business needs, and a technology focus on ensuring the technology used is complying with the architectural strategyand standards.

We are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect within the Financial Services industry, who not only has the technical abilities but also, the right personal aptitude too. Working hybrid between your home and our office in Basingstoke, you will alsobe expected to visit our site in Tunbridge Wells once per month.

**What will I be doing?**:

- Develop a technical architecture roadmap for Insurance areas and influences delivery
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to the business in considering solution options and end states
- Maintain documentation of current and future to-be states
- Ensure correct alignment of technology with the business’s requirements
- Ensure technology decisions align with the group architectural strategy and guidelines
- Deliver solutions designed for effective test and operational excellence, whilst adhering to the AA’s InfoSec Policies
- Keep an eye on the future emerging technology trends and present regular updates for consideration

**What do I need?** Essential:

- Significant previous experience working as a Solutions Architect within a Financial Services environment
- Experience with Policy Administration Platforms, Integration Platforms & Technologies
- Keen understanding with InfoSec practices and principles for a regulated environment
- Skilled with Cloud capabilities and services
- Knowledgeable in the use of architectural modelling tools

Desirable:

- Prior Solutions Architect experience within the Insurance industry
