About the role
We're looking to recruit a Category Manager to join our team, in Staines, Surrey
This is a customer facing role focused on building collaborative relationships with retailers to drive long term and sustainable category growth. Win in the market by developing shared category vision and category development plans to drive growth for bothour customers and Pilgrim's Food Masters. Influence our customers through consumer and shopper insight to shape their range, merchandising, price and promotion plans. Be the voice of the shopper within our business.
Key responsibilities
- Build collaborative and independent relationships with key customer stakeholders (buyers, merchandisers) to become a trusted partner.
- Analyse and interpret multiple customer and shopper data sources to generate actionable insights on category risks and opportunities.
- Deliver Category range review recommendations which focus on the optimal assortment and merchandising supported by clear insight and rationale.
- Drive needs centric conversations and action plans focused on solving category challenges and opening up opportunity spaces.
- Build a network of relationships both internally and with key customers.
Qualifications and skills
- Experience in FMCG - Category Management experience is preferred.
- Strong relationship building and customer facing skills.
- Impactful and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working with data and employing an analytical mindset.
- Knowledge of shopper missions, mindsets & journeys in categories and channels.
- Deliver key category and customer reporting.
- Ability to influence and challenge thinking and decision making internally & externally.
