MacLean International Group Limited is seeking to recruit an Accounts Payable Controller to join their Aberdeen team, to support the UK Finance Organisation.

Reporting to the AP Team Lead, this role will be responsible for the inputting of invoices on the AP ledgers. They will provide information on the ledger status to the AP Team Lead and other members of the Finance team as required. There will be involvement in the audit of the UK results. In addition, the role will require contact with operations staff in our businesses to resolve queries and ensure efficient and accurate processing and control.

This role will also be responsible for some of the following activities: maintenance and upkeep of all vendor accounts; processing supplier invoices and credit notes accurately onto accounting system, following correct processes for authorisation and payments; ensuring Pro-Forma invoices are processed for payment on a timely basis. To liaise with relevant personnel to ensure paperwork is authorised promptly with any queries or issues remedied; initiating payments to suppliers; ensure supplier statements are reconciled to purchase ledger accounts with differences investigated and resolved; timely resolution of supplier queries - liaising with internal and external personnel; accurate processing of overhead invoices to correct cost centres; reconciling inter branch and inter group accounts; keeping all relevant documentation and filing up to date; assist finance management with AP month end reconciliations and procedures
- Previous Experience in a similar role is essential.
- Competent in use of Microsoft Office products Excel, Word & Outlook. Experience of ERP computer systems would be advantageous.
- A team player with a proactive, hands on approach, with the ability to deal with multiple assignments, ensuring all deadlines are met. Also, competent working on their own with a great attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with the ability to deal effectively with all external and internal stakeholders.
