Our friendly, small animal veterinary practice is looking for a reliable, approachable and professional part-time receptionist to join our welcoming team. This person will provide a high standard of customer care to our fantastic client base, while maintaining a link between the clients and clinical team.

We are a team of four veterinary surgeons, three registered nurses, two student nurse, three veterinary care assistants, and three receptionists, a practice manager and assistant practice manager.

The role consists of:

- Answering phone calls quickly and effectively dealing with all our client queries
- Making our clients feel welcome and relaxed during their visits
- Booking appointments and ensuring reminders are set
- Entering data accurately into our appointment management system
- Keeping the vet and nurse diaries up to date, while managing the waiting room so clients are seen on time
- Ensuring the reception area meets our hygiene standards
- Taking payments from clients and cashing up at the end of every day

We all work together to ensure all tasks are completed, so you may be asked to do other tasks as well
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient English and Mathematic skills
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm in a busy environment
- Working as part of a team, as well as working on their own using your own initiative to carry out tasks
- The ability to receive and act upon instructions

Previous experience working within a customer facing, or animal environment would be beneficial, but not essential as full training will be given.

**Salary**: £10.50

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
