Royal HaskoningDHV have a dedicated Security and Telecommunications team specialising in providing expert technical advice to the global maritime market.

We provide consultancy and design services to the global maritime market. We specialise in the feasibility, design, and specification of a wide range of Security and Telecommunications technologies within Ports, Shipyards and Container Terminals.

Our consultancy services include:

- Development of Security and Vulnerability Risk Assessments
- Technical advice on Security and Telecommunications systems for Ports, Shipyards and Container Terminal

- Perimeter Security
- Building Security
- Electronic Security

- Access Control Systems
- Video Surveillance Systems
- Physical Security - Gates, Fences etc

**What you will do as Security Design Consultant**:
In this versatile and dynamic role, you will lead the Security Design scopes on global projects within the maritime industry.

Project includes both greenfield and brownfield projects within ports, shipyards and container terminals.

Duties will include:

- Responsible for the Security Project Scope
- Responsible for the development of the Security and Vulnerability Risk Assessment following the principals of Critical National Infrastructure and the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code
- Responsible for determining the best design approach to be undertaken
- Responsible being the client point of contact for Security discipline
- Prepare designs for Security systems, from initial concepts through to detailed designs
- Develop Security performance specifications
- Develop Security tender design packages
- Collaborate with our engineers and continuously look for the best technical solutions
- Collaborate with our Revit Technicians to develop a 3D Revit model in line with the project requirements
- Co-Ordination the Security scopes with other disciplines
- Support Junior Engineers and Apprentices to develop and learn
- Contribute to the production of proposals by providing man hour estimates of Security and Telecommunications works

**Location**:
The role will be based in either our Newcastle office or our Peterborough office. The role will be hybrid in nature, incorporating office and home working.

As our team is spread across the UK, travel between offices will be required along with occasional travel to client offices in the UK and abroad.

- Experience of the defence projects (desirable but not essential)
