An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Relationship Manager (VP level) at a Japanese bank based in Central London. The role will focus on carrying out marketing activities available to their Asian Corporate Business Group as a Junior RM.
**This would ideally suit someone with a strong credit background.**

**Main Responsibilities**
- Pitching and originating new corporate clients and transactions, including therein oversight of the production of marketing materials and management of the associated compliance review process working with Senior RM
- Lead the delivery and execution of ancillary strategies with product partners on a client-by-client basis under the guidance of the Senior RMs.
- Execution of documentation process through the loan closing in collaboration with the relevant department and actively managing any documentation negotiation with the client
- Maintaining the banks systems primarily GBR and the internal grading tool to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures
- Conduct KYC (research, review, compiling for new/existing customers)
- Mentoring and provides on the job training to the other Junior RMs (AVP/Associate level)
- Other ad hoc tasks, in requested by Senior RMs or Head of the Group, which contribute to the operation of CBDE1
- Degree level education and / or working toward relevant professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CFA, MCT)
- Excellent English communication skills; both written and verbal. Other Asian language skills are favourable (e.g. Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese)
- Sound credit / analytical skills, preferably with background of working in the corporate credit analysist team in banks
- Working level knowledge of key corporate finance concepts
- Good technical knowledge of the bank’s principal products, including a thorough understanding of standard credit documentation, including LMA, ISDA etc
- Self-motivated and flexible approach is essential, including an ability to work on multiple tasks in parallel under pressure and time constraints
- The role is based in London but may require business travel with guidance from Senior RM
- IT literate, including fluency with key Microsoft Office packages
