Head of Store Technology

You will be responsible for the digital transformation of stores globally, aligned with our business strategy.

In this role, you will oversee the selection, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of store technology, including POS, SCO, handheld devices, and footfall counters. Ensuring appropriate support is in place and maintained for physical stores, track performance against SLAs, and provide ongoing feedback to support teams on ticket resolution.

The position is based at Junction 41 in Wakefield, just off the M1, with free parking and offer a flexible, hybrid way of working. However, all colleagues are required to work in the office for a minimum of 1 day every 2 weeks, with the expectation of added attendance when needed.

Main Responsibilities
- Responsibility for selection and ongoing management of technology partners that will support cardfactory’s stores
- Responsibility for annual budget related to store technology, including licensing, maintenance and hosting costs
- Develop, drive and maintain roadmap to address technical debt and compliance for store technology
- Partner closely with Leader of Service & Infrastructure and Leader of Core & Data Platforms to ensure roadmaps align to store business needs
- Partner closely with Leader of Security & Compliance to minimise vulnerabilities in store
- Proven track record in deploying and supporting POS globally
- Experience in payment platforms and delivering omnichannel experiences
- Ability to make strategic, change and operational decisions, based on strategic insight, financial acumen, sound logic and rationale, as well as the ability to simplify complexity and focus on outcomes
- A passion for what they do: a convincing, and highly engaging technology and change professional, who is motivated by a desire to deliver outstanding and sustainable results for a business - and in the right way
- Strategic and creative thinker, with strong leadership and people skills, evidenced by strong IQ and EQ
