Gardener needed at a small commercial gardening firm.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team. An interest in horticulture would be advantageous, but previous experience is not necessary.

Own transport and clean driving licence essential.

General gardening duties; supply and maintenance of hanging baskets and seasonal bedding; preparation and installation of plants and props hired for hospitality / sporting events. Clients include hotels & restaurants, sheltered housing, property management companies, events companies.

Watering / maintenance of plants at our own nursery.

Tools, protective clothing, polo
- / sweat-shirts / fleeces provided but staff will need to provide their own suitable footwear and waterproofs.

Normal hours: 8.00am - 5.15pm weekdays. The applicant will also need to work alternate Saturday mornings (additional payment at time-and-a-half) during term time. (Part days not possible, but less than 5 days per week may be considered.) Some overtime available during the summer and at weekends. 28 days paid holiday per full year, including bank holidays or days in lieu.

Salary from £21,000pa on successful completion of 6-week probationary period (£20,000pa for first 6 weeks).

**Salary**: £21,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
