Senior Procurement Specialist

Reporting to the Head of Direct Procurement, Europe, you will lead one or more Procurement categories. You will be responsible for working in partnership with the Product Design team to develop and source products globally, for 17 markets across Europe. The Senior Procurement Specialist will develop a deep technical understanding of the products in their categories, follow market trends and technology developments, and monitor the supplier landscape. You will help markets to understand what products are available, assist in building specifications and obtaining quotations, support major purchase projects following tender wins and manage those supplier partnerships.

**What you'll be doing**

You'll create and implement category plans and deliver initiatives for product areas of responsibility. Acquiring a deep understanding of market product needs and the corresponding supplier landscape. You'll work in partnership with colleagues from Product Development to create and/or develop new and existing products

As the Senior Procurement Specialist you'll continually strive to lessen the impact of business activities on the environment, including increased use of recycled raw materials, targeting 100% recyclability and tracking carbon impact.
- Challenge stakeholders’ scope of requirements and specification design
- Identification, monitoring and management / reporting of project risks
- Devise negotiation plans and manage negotiation process with stakeholder and supplier(s)
- Agree mobilisation plans and manage activities with stakeholder and supplier(s) as required
- Develop ongoing Supplier Relationship Management schedule for stakeholder as part of BAU activity (where required)
- Develop and manage (where required) savings tracking mechanism for stakeholder to use as part of BAU activity
- Roll out of back-end systems and ERP in markets.

**Who are you?**

Naturally you'll be an excellent communicator with the ability to influence and persuade, you'll have strategic sourcing experience and ideally experience within manufacturing. You'll have a track record of delivering tangible business benefits including process efficiencies and savings across multiple categories.
- MCIPS qualifications with significant experience preferred
- Excellent supplier relationship management and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle a wide range of complex issues and multiple projects simultaneously, managing to tight deadlines
- Full driver’s licence
- ERP, SAP, MRP II experience preferred.
