We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills who is dedicated to working as part of the team.

ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN A FULL SHIFT PATTERN INCLUDING; LONG DAYS, EARLY'S, TWILIGHTS, LATE'S NIGHTS, WEEKENDS AND BANK HOLIDAYS.

Book in all patients upon arrival in a timely and correct manner, to ensure prompt handovers of patients.

To ensure the reception and waiting areas remain tidy and clean escalating any issues to domestic services, nurse in charge or matron as appropriate.

To attend and participate in Department/Directorate meetings.

Scan patient notes ensuring timely co-ordination of transfers and discharges.

Ensure that patient notes are available and accessible.

Ensure that patient related forms are stocked appropriately at all times.

Ensure that ambulance handovers are accurately recorded (Including updating the department’s inbound screen) in a timely manner.

To support the Senior Patient Flow Coordinator (SPFC) in the validation of ambulance delays and fines.

To greet and welcome persons entering the department, checking identification of staff requiring access to patient information.

To monitor the Ambulance Inbound screen and Identify risks to Nurse in Charge (NIC).

To answer the telephone correctly by adhering to the Trusts telephone protocol. To understand and give messages received to the appropriate person i.e. Nurse in Charge (NIC) and Patient Flow Co-ordinator (PFC).

To maintain good communication and relationships with members of staff and all visitors to the department.

Liaise with wards and departments as required to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
