**Job Summary**:
Panificio is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Barista to join our team at Haymarket, Edinburgh. The Barista will be responsible for preparing and serving focaccias and sandwiches, high-quality coffee and non-alcoholic beverages, delivering outstanding customer service, and ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of the bar area. This role is essential to the day-to-day operations of the business and works closely with the Store Supervisor to create a welcoming environment and exceptional coffee experience.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Beverage Preparation & Service**:

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffees and non-alcoholic beverages to customers, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Follow established recipes and beverage standards, maintaining high quality in every cup.

**Customer Service**:

- Take customer orders accurately, providing excellent service and a friendly experience.
- Answer questions about the menu, suggest items, and make customers feel welcome.

**Bar Area Organization & Cleanliness**:

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring it is stocked, tidy, and ready for service.
- Follow daily cleaning checklists and comply with food safety and sanitation guidelines.

**Inventory & Restocking**:

- Restock bar supplies and manage inventory levels, notifying the Store Supervisor of any shortages or needs.
- Assist in maintaining proper stock rotation and minimizing waste.

**Cash Handling & Register Operation**:

- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register accurately, following procedures for cash handling and sales reconciliation.

**Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely food and beverage service.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down the bar area for events, ensuring a seamless customer experience.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or the restaurant industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and drink recipes is a plus.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Punctual, reliable, and enthusiastic about creating memorable customer experiences.
