Sherburn House Charity are looking for an experienced HR professional to provide us with strategic and operational support.

Salary £35k

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive your role and duties will be:
**Human Resources**
- First point of contact for all day to day HR enquiries
- Contributing to the development of and compliance with HR policies by helping to upskill and educate staff on HR best practice
- Maintain and update HR files and databases
- Manage the employee entry and exit process
- Develop and continuously improve recruitment documentation to ensure the process is robust.
- Track and coordinate recruitment activity, producing insights and recommendations based on data analysis and review of all resourcing across the business
- Working with our external legal team for HR support, provide advice, practical support and guidance to managers on areas such as disciplinary and grievance, absence management, performance & sickness management and any other employment related issues

**Employment Support Duties**
- Dealing with employee payroll queries
- Ensuring all monthly payroll adjustments are authorised and delivered to finance department including inputs for starters, leavers, SSP, SMP and SPP, and overtime etc
- Working with the care home team to collate authorised monthly timesheets
- Calculating and administrating holiday pay entitlement
- Manage employee health surveillance with occupational health.
- Support the managers in maintaining competence levels of employees, making recommendations for training and development options that fit with the business needs.
- Design and deliver in-house training in areas connected with people development.
- Support employee engagement initiatives.

**Qualifications**
- CIPD qualification
- Understanding of and adherence to data protection legislation (GDPR).

**Experience**
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a similar environment
- Experience of delivering HR projects and employee engagement activities.
- Experience of working with data and HR systems.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £35,000.00 per year
