**About the role**:
Applications are sought for an exciting opportunity within our innovative undergraduate medical course. You will take a lead role supporting our clinical assessment activity (OSCEs). This role requires experience in clinical assessment and will have over-arching responsibility for the quality of OSCEs across years 1-5 overseeing and supporting our OSCE leads. As Co-deputy Head of Assessment, you will also deputise for the Head of Assessment as needed. The post holder will support our quality assurance activities with respect to assessment with reference to internal University processes and external processes, specifically those relating to the GMC.

**About you**:
This role is open to either of the following clinically trained applicants:
Option 1: Clinical Consultants in active clinical practice at a partner University of Leicester hospital, who are GMC registered on the UK Specialist register holding a licence to practise - Clinical scale

Option 2: Individuals who have previously been on the Specialist Register and have maintained their GMC registration but have now retired from active clinical practice - Associate Professor G9

**Appointments**

Option 1: Appointment to the Clinical Consultant scale £88,364-£119,133pa pro rata (based on seniority)

Available to those holding a substantive Consultant post with a University of Leicester partner hospital, or a University employed clinical academic holding an honorary Consultant contract with a University partner hospital.

Option 2 Appointment to Grade 9 £54,949-£61,823pa pro rata - Individuals will be employed directly by the University.
