Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Position: Full-time, with reasonable commute to in or around Lytham.

Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

**Job Description**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Lead small group interventions and provide targeted support to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
- Assist in the development of resources and materials to support teaching and learning, including differentiated activities to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Promote positive behaviour management strategies and model respectful and responsible behaviour for students.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and adapting support strategies as needed.
- Contribute to the wider school community through participation in school events, extracurricular activities, and staff meetings.

Qualifications:

- Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a SEMH independent school setting
- Strong understanding of the national curriculum and educational frameworks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to take on new challenges
- Commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity within the school community
