**Main Purpose**:
As a Team Leader in Material Control you are responsible for leading a small team of up to 12 people. You will be accountable for all activities within your area and drive continuous improvement to maximise operational effectiveness through the empowerment and development of people, processes and systems.

**What you'll be doing**:

- To proactively manage and ensure a safe working environment exists for all employees and lead by example with regards to key safe behaviours and challenge any unsafe condition or behaviour.
- To deliver and maintain standards of food safety, hygiene and housekeeping within your area through Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) to ensure that the business and customer standards are delivered.
- To appropriately manage the performance and attendance of all team members by using the Oscar Mayer performance process.
- Plan, organize and measure labour and material requirements to ensure that both short
- and long-term targets are met.
- To own the training and development of your team, actively recruit, develop, train and coach team members to the required level of competence while encouraging continuous improvement within the department.
- To ensure the delivery of agreed KPI’s across the department with the team. Ensure that KPI’s are understood to drive performance improvement and daily activities.
- Ensure that the team updates and collect the required data to measure performance against agreed targets and KPI’s.
- To ensure that your team is well informed on relevant department business news and to encourage effective cross-functional channels of communication between functions.
