**ROLE- Buyer**
**LOCATION- Aylesbury
TERM- Permanent**
**SALARY- £25,000- £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)**My client design and manufacture parts and products for a whole host of sectors. They are looking to take on an Engineering/ Materials Buyer, on a permanent basis, in Aylesbury.
**The Engineering Buyer will ideally have the following attributes**:

- Formal qualification Engineering (HNC/ HND/ Degree) or have the equivalent work experience with transferable skills
- Good experience in purchasing both mechanical and electro-mechanical components
- Proficiency with using ERP systems
- Being able to read from Engineering drawings
- Previous experience of delivering cost savings and also the lead time reduction
- Experienced working with different manufacturing techniques within a similar role
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

**The Engineering Buyer role will involve**:

- Taking responsibility for sourcing, purchasing and the delivery of materials and components
- Ensuring quality, on time delivery and cost performance
- Adding value to the business by driving the cost savings
- Being responsible for supplier performance development and the procurement of materials against specifications
- Managing key suppliers
- Being involved in the selection of suppliers and then the ongoing approval and relationship management
