**Job Title: Procurement Manager**
**Job Role & Scope**:
Procurement Manager is responsible for the management and development of a small team of Indirect Buyers. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure best value procurement in the award, delivery and renewal of indirect contracts.**Responsibilities include**:
- Technical procurement in a low to medium volume engineering / prototype manufacturing environment
- Ability to identify cost
- reduction opportunities within the business
- Work cross-functionally with other departments and internal stakeholders
- Manage stock control within the business
- Review daily MRP recommendations and supplier assessment, including lead time and pricing
- Raise purchase orders as appropriate
- Ensure order acknowledgement and delivery is in line with orders through systematic expediting
- Manage the procurement of other commodities, utilities, and industrial services
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve issues with performance and regularly review, suggest, and develop improvements
- Establish new and more competitive sources of supply
- Work closely with other members of the Operational team, provide reports and attend meetings
- Source new products and components
- Negotiate and influence suppliers to achieve best market value
- Be accountable or the annual targets and goals across cost, quality, reliability and delivery
- Manage the Purchasing department
- Monitor current processes and procedures and identify areas for improvement
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
- Promote a 'right first time' Quality culture
- Promote, implement and monitor Continuous Improvement activities.

Proven Leader, excellent communication skills (written and oral), customer facing skills, excellent organizational skills, time management skills. Accountable and dedicated. Capable of conflict management and resolution. Experience managing a small team (desirable).
