Human Resources Officer

**Job Purpose**:
**This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with rotated on call duties which include at least one weekend in a month**
**Typical responsibilities include**:
- recruiting, training, and developing staff, organising staff training sessions and activities
- making sure that staff get paid correctly and on time, processing pensions and benefits administration
- approving job descriptions and advertisements
- looking after the health, safety, and welfare of all employees
- monitoring staff performance and attendance
- advising line managers and other employees on employment law and the employer's own employment policies and procedures
**Key skills for HR officers**
- Commercial awareness and effective organisational skills
- Ability to form working relationships with people at all levels and good teamwork skills
- Interpersonal skills and meticulous attention to detail
- IT and Numerical skills
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Experience in an HR role in a Health and Social Care environment.
- A good knowledge of UK employment legislation
- Experience of working with a quality management system with a high degree of procedural compliance.
