The role involves management of the Demand Planning Systems to deliver product availability across the Vital Pet Products and Pet Brands product portfolios. Full ownership and accountability for the development of the Slimstock System and forecast plan, Inventory stock profiling and product availability forecasts to meet agreed service level expectations.

**What the job involves**
- Ensuring that the inventory levels for all product categories are optimised to meet targeted levels of customer service levels whilst minimising stock levels.
- Working closely with Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Product Replenishment Teams to manage and control inventory across all product categories.
- Defining operational and cost implications of any business changes, challenging any negative impacts on working capital through analysis of forecasted demand and new customer introduction.
- Identify and report on issues with Excess and Obsolete stocks.
- Monitoring the impact on stockholding of business-critical events, e.g. Product launches, Major Customer onboarding, Major promotions, etc. and take action to maximise product availability minimise this impact on service levels.
- Implementing and maintaining service level reporting to provide visibility to the business around customer service, working capital performance and forward inventory level projections.
- Communicating and liaising with all stakeholders regarding inventory holding levels (safety, level and process stocks)
- Providing the link and communication between customer supply chain/forecasting departments to support joint ownership of forecasted demand.
- Generate monthly reporting suite for circulation.

**Desired skills and experience**
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working with ERP Forecasting and Demand Planning Systems. Preferably exposure to Slimstock Demand Planning Systems
- Demand and Inventory planning/management experience within a FMCG environment
- Experience with management of product sourced on long lead-time delivery cycle
- Analytical skills are of primary importance.

**Role details**
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Work days: Monday to Friday (40 hrs)
- Schedule: 8-hour work day, 8.30am - 5pm
- Salary: £28,000-£35,000 per year
- Work Location: Office-based (Rotherham, S63 9BL, UK)
