**BHI GROUP seek to recruit a Network Transport Planner**

The BHI Group are a group of companies which include Hallam Express Ltd and 4S Distribution Ltd both are leading transport and distribution providers offering next day palletised distribution throughout the UK and ambient or cold store warehousing facilities for our customers. Our 24-hour control center schedule vehicle movements to meet daily demands working closely with our customers, and their customers in turn. The result is continuous and seamless deliveries.

Working days: Monday to Friday - Approx. hours**:10am to 8pm**

**Job purpose and responsibilities**:

- Assist in the daily vehicle movement, liaising with staff and customers to ensure the efficient delivery of goods inbound & outbound.
- Support the coordination of the warehouse operatives.
- To ensure that all The Pallet Network processes are to the specified audit requirements.

**Range of duties**:

- Support with the routing for a fleet of vehicles.
- Point of contact for HGV drivers.
- Liaise with drivers giving them clear instructions and debriefings.
- Organise the scanning & checking of inbound freight.
- Co-ordinate drivers through effective communication, tracking while maintain full transport compliance.
- Coordinate warehouse operatives producing the required customer labels and paperwork.
- Co-ordinate network drivers and the network collections to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Ensure that any fleet damage is reported.
- Assist in customer queries including delivery details and ETA’s.
- Assist fellow Depots on queries including ETA’s and non-conformances keeping thorough records/notes.
- Liaise with team on vehicle compliance and maintenance adjusting fleet where necessary.
- Keep accurate records of discussions and correspondence with customers.
- Ensure strong working relationships are built and maintained.
- Bring new ideas, energy, and enthusiasm to take the company forward.
- To undertake additional duties as reasonably assigned from time to time.

**Requirements**:

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
- Proficiency in IT tools such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience in logistics or transport planning
- Valid driving license, HGV License an advantage
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external customers
