**ICT Project Coordinator**

**Up to £28,000 per annum plus benefits**

This is a fast-paced role, and one that will require the post holder to monitor their own workload and manage both internal and external resources. The post holder will be joining a supportive team and a friendly working environment. Serco at the Defence Academy provides Facilities Management across all aspects of the site including Estates, Logistics, various Supporting Services, together with Cleaning, Catering and Waste Management through ESS.

**Main responsibilities of the role include**:

- Work with the customer to gain a clear understanding of their business requirements and ensure that they are captured as an agreed standard of requirements.
- Ensure that any changes requested are referred to the IT Security Specialist for confirmation that they d not contravene compliance with JSP440/JSP480.
- Undertake effective coordination of small IT projects; delivering at least monthly updates to the Head of ICT Projects.
- Ensure that the correct resource is always assigned to project activities to ensure agreed deliverables can be met in a timely manner.
- Work closely with other departmental coordinators to ensure that changes and new developments can be smoothly transferred to the live environment.
- Ensure that all the necessary user and technical documentation resulting from projects are produced in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensure the service variation systems are updated showing progress of projects and that all responses are of a high quality responding to all points within the required document.
- Ensure adequate on-site management, including induction, of any third parties or sub-contractors who may be involved in the delivery of IT projects.

**What you need to do the job**:

- Experience of working in a project office environment.
- Previous project administrator/coordinator with excellent people skills.
- Good level of general education, including English and Maths.
- Ability to work well in part of a team as well as independently.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, and ability to converse effectively with the customer, team, and external suppliers.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage own workload.
- Problem solving skills.
- PC Literate, with a good level of experience in MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- You will have to gain BPSS clearance prior to appointment and SC clearance within the first 3 months.
