**ETF and Index Investing (EII)**
BlackRock’s ETF Index Investment team develops and manages investment solutions involving multiple strategies and asset classes. The global team includes more than 145 portfolio managers, quantitative analysts, investment strategists, research analysts. We partner with clients to solve their investment and liability challenges by understanding their objectives, advising on solutions, and designing and implementing strategies that meet or exceed goals.
**EMEA Global Markets (ETFs)**
Global Markets Team protects ETF Trading and works to develop the ETF trading ecosystem. Within the Markets Advocacy Pillar we champion the modernisation of financial markets.
We seek to effect change through three advocacy pillars:
- Public policy: Providing policy recommendations and standards that promote investor protection and sound regulation of product structure and markets
- Thought leadership: Educating investors, market participants and other key partners (e.g., media, the academic community) on the role of ETFs in financial markets
- Industry activation: Finding opportunities (through industry association engagement, ad hoc coalitions and other venues) to amplify our message or engage others in ETF ecosystem efforts
**Your role and impact**
We are seeking an Associate to help drive critical initiatives that will reinforce BlackRock’s reputation as an industry leader and provider of ETFs engineered for quality and performance. This person will play a meaningful role in aiding the development of our ETF ecosystem narrative, content strategy, and shaping parts of our public policy agenda to advance the ETF ecosystem.
**Your responsibilities**
- Coordinate the team's global content pipeline, from content development to distribution
- Respond to ad-hoc requests for content, feedback and insights (e.g., input for town halls, Board meetings, briefing memos, etc.)
- Build an understanding of the ETF ecosystem to proactively identify areas for engagement
- Partner on response strategies and talking points for ETF-related events that necessitate broad awareness across BlackRock
- Assist in driving strategy work for the Global Markets Team and the Markets Advocacy pillar
- Collaborate with BlackRock’s Global Public Policy Group (GPPG) to execute on iShares public policy initiatives
**You have**
- A passion for Markets / ETFs/index investing and an investor-first mentality with a desire to effect significant change
- Excellent written communication skills, with proficiency in adapting communication styles based on format (e.g., memos, whitepapers, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience engaging and influencing a diverse set of partners
- Proven project management and organizational skills, with high attention to detail
- Extraordinary teammate, with willingness to take on additional responsibility to meet business needs.
