Receptionist and Administration Assistant

**Responsibilities**

We are looking for a temporary receptionist and administration assistant to assist with our annual parking permit issue at the University of Sussex. This role will include working at our main reception and helping customers (staff and students) with enquiries and collecting/purchasing parking permits, as well as maintaining records and other admin roles as needed.

**Main Duties**
- Managing and responding to all queries and requests from members of the University and visitors at the reception desk
- Managing collection, record-keeping and storage of car parking permits and passes
- In charge of sales of scratch cards for parking
- Handling deliveries for staff and students
- Performing book-keeping tasks such as data entry, filling, sales, etc.
- Event recording, including ensuring the events calendar is up-to-date
- Additional ad-hoc tasks as needed c/o the Transport Coordinator and Manager

Note: The duties listed are current duties of the post, but these may be modified to meet the changing needs of the division and the University.

Able to provide excellent customer service

Effective oral and written communicator with a wide range of people

Responsive, courteous, and friendly

Able to use basic IT packages accurately and efficiently, including databases

Proactive and responsive

Able to work in a confidential manner

Ability to work as part of a team: helpful, cooperative and work well in a team.

Working in an office environment

Experience in clerical and administrative systems

Positive and flexible team worker, trustworthy.

Enthusiastic and supportive
