An international Events Agency based in Stevenage are currently looking for an **Exhibition and Sponsorship Manager** to join their events management team. You must an energetic, hardworking, and self-motivated individual who has hands on experience of managing events, exhibitions and sponsorship alongside business developmentand relationship management skills.

The role will be broken down into three key areas which include, **exhibition management**, **relationship management** and **business development** from a fantastic portfolio of existing clients.

As the **Exhibition and Sponsorship Manager** you will be responsible for:

- **Exhibition management** which includes:

- Closing exhibition and events sponsorship sales in order to meet revenue targets
- Liaising with the events team to scope exhibition space and venues, as well as updating events budgets
- Exhibition planning including floor plan, creation of exhibition manuals and liaising with venues and supplier
- Setting up virtual exhibitions via EventsAir
- Attendance and running of events to support the set up and set down as well as networking with all of your clients (C.20 events a year)
- **Relationship Management** including:

- Building lasting and strong relationships with key decision makers with a large client base
- Ensuring clients needs are understood, met and exceeded
- Attendance of client meetings and networking events
- **Business development** activities including:

- Identifying and scoping upsell opportunities with existing clients and partners. Negotiating terms to help close these opportunities
- Identifying new clients and partners to add to your contact portfolio and converting those leads into new clients
- Attending business networking events
- Provide competitor analysis / market intelligence

The **Exhibition and Sponsorship Manager** will need:

- A proven ability to create rapport with a wide range of people and personalities
- Experience within a similar role
- To be a team player with the ability to work closely with others
- Excellent organisational skills with close attention to detail to keep abreast of a diverse book of partners and clients
- Competent with Salesforce/CRM, management information, sales data, and reporting
- Tech-savvy and productive with a wide range of software tools
- Have successfully sold exhibition space previously
- Experience of managing a floor plan
- High attention to detail and able to work in an organised and professional manor
- Able to adapt different sales techniques to the varied customer base
- Able manage budgets and financial projections confidently

This role also offers flexible working hours with flexible start and finish times, and a combination of both office, field and home-based working, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. However, being in the events industry does mean occasionally you willhave to work and travel outside of normal working hours, stay away from home overnight and will involve some international travel.
