**Job Title: Early Years Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)**

**Location: Burnley**

**Salary: £20,824.61 per annum (Pro-rata)**

**Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday - Friday.**

**Contract: Term-Time, plus 5 days (40 weeks per annum)**

**Who we are looking for**:
Aspire Behaviour Management is currently on the lookout for motivated individuals who are passionate about providing effective care and support to our Children and Young People within our Independent Nurture Setting, based in Burnley.

Our Children and Young People have a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH), and although this can be challenging, it is also rewarding as you will be making a difference to their lives daily.
- Qualified to Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant status, or equivalent. (_Or Level 3 qualified willing to work towards Level 4)._
- Grade 4 or above in English & Maths (or equivalent)
- Previous Experience working with Children and Young People with SEMH needs.
- Previous Supervisory Experience.
- Ability to both lead, and work as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a positive, solution-focused manner.
- A passion for going above and beyond for Children & Young People and the individual needs they have.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to understand not every day is a challenge.
- Be excited about each day bringing something new to the table.
- Calm, understanding and empathetic.
- Engage with our children by modelling positive relationships.

**The Role**:
Our aim is to provide Children and Young People attending our Educational Facilities, with a calm and nurturing environment to allow them to be supported to reach their full potential.

We also need to provide the guidance and support necessary to allow these children and young people to make the move back into mainstream education.

Therefore, day to day duties will involve:

- Using effective behaviour management strategies.
- Developing positive relationships to assist with progress and attainment.
- Deliver a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum to Early Years, KS1 and KS2 Children, modifying and personalizing where needed.
- Deliver, monitor and the review of individuals targets.
- To identify and deliver suitable academic and behavioural interventions for individual pupils.
- Delegating tasks and ensuring that resources and equipment are kept in good condition within The Hubs.
- Liaising with parents/carers, mainstream schools, and other professionals associated with the children.
- Delegation of classroom administrative tasks, including maintenance of records, and completion of such where necessary.
- Ensuring the classroom, and school environment are safe, clean and kept to a high standard at all times.
- To share Pastoral Responsibilities for the group of pupils and their families by using a Nurture Group approach.
