Rosedene is a Supported Living Service. Supporting Young people 16yrs to 25yrs who live here, to achieve independent living skills, emotional stability, gain financial independence, to develop a solid foundation upon which they can flourish to enable them move on and live an independent life.

We are looking to recruit experienced Waking Night Support Worker to work 10 hour waking night shifts.

You will need to be confident and experienced with challenging behaviour, but who are assured that they can make a tangible difference to people's lives. We are searching for people who can communicate effectively and politely.

You will need to be able to deal with a range of different people but we also need people who are approachable, compassionate and with the ability to think critically to determine the best plan of action.

Essential:
Key Responsibility's:
Ensure the individual's support plan and risk assessments are followed.

Assisting Individuals to manage and maximise their finances

Ensuring that all individual's records are accurately maintained

Promoting independent living, confidence building, self awareness, training, education, employment opportunities and participation within the local community.

Communication/consulting with professionals

Provide a high quality, responsive and person centred service that meets the physical, mental and emotional needs of the individuals

Ensuring the individuals have choice and control over their lives

Demonstrates a sensitive and supported approach to vulnerable individuals maintaining their dignity and self respect at all times

Good written and oral communication, numeracy, IT and interpersonal skills

The ability to cope with verbally aggressive and volatile situations

Desired:
Understanding of health & safety

Understanding of policy and procedures

Ability to cover shifts at short notice, flexibility in a demanding working environment

Qualifications:
Desirable - NVQ'S 2-3
