Transport and Operations Co-ordinator

Clearflow are currently looking to recruit a full time permanent transport and operations co-ordinator. You will assist in the running of the transport and operations department at our St Day Redruth depot. You will report directly to the Operations Manager.

**Duties to include**:

- Legal and compliant running of the transport assets
- Regularly monitor driver behaviour and compliance with Driver Hours Regulations
- Supporting operations management
- To ensure that all vehicles undertake their required checks and inspections in a timely and regular manner
- Keep accurate, transparent and comprehensive records using the company systems of any other transport compliance matters
- To work with new drivers to ensure that they are clear about expectations and exhibit the high standards required by the company
- Pro-active vehicle and operator planning to maximise route efficiency
- Retain and monitor adequate levels of supplies for common consumables
- Be an active member and take part in the company out of hours telephone rota
- Liaise with customers and suppliers
- To fully understand our work as a contractor and the importance of delivering a high standard of work at all times with a ‘can do’ approach
- Working effectively within a small but committed team but also working efficiently on their own as required
**Attributes Required**:

- Hold a strong knowledge and experience working with UK Transport Legislation including British Domestic Rules
- Experience in working in the transport industry
- A good team member but also able to work under own initiative and without supervision
- Time management skills and ability to adapt to changing situations. The ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Ability to complete paperwork and computer input to a high standard
- Smartly Presented and ability to demonstrate a good level of accuracy/attention to detail
- A good professional telephone manner
- Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office
- Willingness to work flexible hours (including some weekends) and to be ‘on call’
- Customer skills and a positive/professional attitude
**Desired, but not essential**:

- To hold a current Transport Manager CPC (Road Haulage)
- Current HGV Licence and Driver CPC
- Knowledge of or experience working in the waste water industry
- Good geographical knowledge of Devon, Cornwall & Somerset
