**6 month Fixed-Term Contract - 37 hours per week**

**Up to £45,000 per annum depending on experience**

Worthing Homes is a forward-looking housing association dedicated to providing affordable, high-quality homes and services to our local communities. We’re a small but dynamic organisation, managing 4,000 homes serving over 10,000 residents across our range of properties from social housing to sheltered accommodation to shared ownership properties.

Our team is driven by our shared passion for supporting our local communities and making a positive impact on our customers’ lives. We’re at an exciting and transformative stage in our business, embracing innovative approaches and new ideas as we continue our journey toward achieving brilliant outcomes for our customers.

As we continue to evolve, we are looking for a talented individual to join our team as Clerk of Works in our Planned Maintenance team on a 6-month fixed term contract.

**About the role**

As Clerk of Works for our planned maintenance team you will be responsible for overseeing the progress and delivery of refurbishment and reconfiguration projects on our sites, ensuring that all work is delivered to a high quality standard. Your day-to-day duties will involve conducting detailed inspections of works, monitoring progress against agreed timelines, identifying and addressing defects, and ensuring all work aligns with the required quality standards, regulations, and compliance frameworks.

You will work across new build developments and major planned maintenance projects, liaising with contractors and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure projects stay on track, ultimately ensuring our homes meet the needs of our customers while maintaining the highest levels of quality and compliance.

**What we’re looking for**

We are seeking a skilled professional with a strong technical understanding of building construction, ideally supported by a property or construction trade qualification, and in-depth knowledge of the housing sector. You will bring proven experience working with contractors, building and maintaining relationships to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards. Your sound judgment will enable you to navigate complex situations, knowing when to insist on corrections, negotiate solutions, or seek compromise to achieve the best outcomes.

You will bring a proactive, solution-focused approach along with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a demanding workload effectively. As someone who thrives on attention to detail, you will be able to identify potential issues before they arise and take swift, decisive action to address them. Your focus on maintaining high standards, particularly regarding the quality of work will ensure standards are consistently met.

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, always maintaining a customer-focused approach to your work.

A solid understanding of the Microsoft Office suite, ensuring you can effectively manage documentation and reporting is essential.

**Why work for us?**

At Worthing Homes we strive to create a supportive and inclusive work environment ensuring colleagues feel valued and respected.
