**Job Purpose**

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the global Lactalis Group. Based in our busy Potting Hall, you will demonstrate your people managment and organisation skills. Responsible for supervising the production shift, ensuring the schedule operates to plan and all KPIS’s are met, you will drive processes in the day-to-day production of quality, authentic dairy products in an efficient and cost effective manner.

**Your Tasks**
- Co-ordinate all resources required to meet daily production demand in as cost effective a manner as possible whilst maximising customer service levels.
- Minimise production losses at all stages in the process; labour, materials and plant time.
- Ensure that processes and products conform to Company and statutory hygiene standards.
- Executing handovers and continuous improvement activities
- Promoting and developing a positive team environment
- Proactively contribute to, and support, the achievement of all Company objectives.
- Contribute to the general management (recruitment, performance management, team building, training and development, discipline etc.) of production staff in line with the Company’s strategic goals and vision.
- Responsible for monitoring a Critical Control Point (CCP) and of an OPR (Operational Pre-Requisite) to instigate the required corrective action in accordance with the appropriate work instructions to prevent the inadvertent release of non-conforming product to ensure food product safety.
- Responsible for the allocation of work to teams under his/her control to maximise the efficient and effective use of all Company resources.

**Skills we need**

This position is physically demanding. You will demonstrate your management skills, understanding of manufacturing processing activities, Food Hygiene Regulations, Health & Safety Regulations and Food Production. You will be flexible to cover reqired shifts and change or cover with short notice. You will be confident in decision making, people management and leadership with a right first time attitude. Good communication skills, both written and verbal are essential. You will have a full working knowledge of the Production process, lines and processes.
