At the Crowne Plaza Royal Victoria in Sheffield, we are looking for a Receptionist who can work 5 shifts per week. The role of a hotel receptionist is a varied role where no two days are the same and you will be required to work evenings and weekends as part of the role.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Adhere to all business policies at all times
- Have a good working knowledge of the hotel and its facilities together with the surrounding area.
- Show an excellent standard of hospitality from the Reception Desk.
- Be fully conversant with the Front Office system (Amadeus) operating to company standard.
- Be fully conversant with all aspects of cash handling including banking procedures, foreign currency, floats, change orders and petty cash.
- Have a basic knowledge of Reservations procedures and be able to take a reservation efficiently and to the company standard.
- Completed tasks as outlined in the Reception shift procedures.
- Be fully aware of all the Emergency Drills and procedures attending statutory Fire, Health & Safety courses when required.
- Attend other training courses and departmental meetings when required.
- Up-sell hotel products (restaurant, room up-sell, etc.)
- Ensure “Forgotten Something” is stocked at all times.
- Familiarise yourself with the days business - departures and arrivals, identifying regular guests, VIP’s, Rewards Club arrivals.
- Ensure Rewards Club member packs are created each day and postcards delivered to rooms prior to the guests arrival
- Ensure Rewards Club members are acknowledged on arrival and provided with the requested Welcome Amenity (where appropriate)
- Acknowledge all Stay Preferences and fulfil them wherever possible, ensuring this is communicated to the guest at all times, whether they could be accommodated or not.
- Complete and distribute Rate Your Stay each day
- Ensure any maintenance defects are logged correctly
- Take any event payments, recording them correctly in Amadeus and informing the relevant member of staff
- Any other reasonable duties.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £9.30-£10.00 per hour
