Trentham House Nursing Home are delighted to be introducing this exciting new opportunity to join us as a Care Home Assistant Practitioner. This is an enhanced Healthcare Assistant role where you will complete an intensive training programme with supervised practice, some classroom work and also self-directed learning.

There will be lots of practical experience under the guidance of your dedicated mentor who will be an experienced Registered Nurse.

The successful applicant will be contracted to work 44 hours, 4 shifts per week over a 7 day working rota. Please note shifts are 08:00am - 20:00pm.

Once you qualify, you will support other nursing colleagues to deliver clinical services such as the administration of medication, wound care, carry out a range of clinical observations and contribute to the care planning process.

You will be supporting and helping to lead the whole team as well; in maintaining and promoting high standards of care, safety and quality.

Rate of pay: £11.27 p/h initially, increasing to £12.08 p/h upon completion of a 12 week training programme

Previous experience:
You will need to be a very experienced care assistant and have already achieved a NVQ Level 3 Healthcare Qualification or equivalent.

A recognised Medication Qualification is a distinct advantage.

You must be a caring, compassionate individual, able to learn and willing to face a challenge.
