**Job Title: CCTV Controller**

**Location: London**

**Rate: £12.12 per hour**

**Rostered Hours: Rolling roster 7 on 3 off 7 on 4 off Days, Nights and Weekends (56hrs average per week)**

**Objective**

As a Controller you will assist in all aspects of the client’s/tenants security requirements and support the Security Manager and the Security Supervisor in the day-to-day running of the security function.

**Responsibilities**:

- Deliver outstanding customer service to staff and visitors
- Take an active interest in, and give commitment to the client and tenants
- Ensure that the environment and service is truly excellent and beyond expectation
- Promote the client, tenants other service providers positively to all you come in to contact with, throughout the customer journey
- Be flexible and adaptable to all tasks or challenges
- Be highly presentable, accountable; take responsibility and ownership for any tasks identified or allocated
- Ensure all communications, be it internal or external; by telephone, face to face or any other medium; is clear, courteous, polite, professional and respectful
- Ensure complete client/tenant/other service provider confidentiality; protecting people and information is paramount
- Where applicable: appropriate use of CCTV/access control and any other electronic management system, and completion of reports and documentation in a timely fashion (but never beyond your licence)
- Be familiar with all Security and Emergency procedures on site and assist in the facilitation of their safe execution and practice. There may also be a need to become a fire marshal and first aider if applicable all training will be provided
- All Assignment Instructions / Operations Manual or Standard Operating Procedures are to be reviewed, understood and followed
- Embrace and deliver the bespoke training requirements, specific to contractual obligation or regulation
- Completion of rostered duties and all associated tasks or responsibilities to the highest possible standard
- Ensure that all Health and Safety and Environmental procedures are followed and do not undertake any activity which could breach the SIA or other relevant regulations
- To complete any other reasonable task as instructed by your line manager or other Senior Manager, either Unitrust or at the request of the Client and/or tenants
- To support internal and external audit processes from Unitrust Security representatives, Client/Tenant Representatives
- To act with integrity and in the best interests of the company in a safe, compliant and ethical manner
- To be resilient to working in the most sensitive environments, dealing with any conflict with a respectful and empathic approach at all times
- Assist in the induction, development or ongoing training of new team members across the disciplines where appropriate
- Act in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures and our Code of Conduct

**Essential Skills**:

- Previous Supervisory experience
- Excellent oral, written communication skills, interpersonal skills and confidence
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Reliable, trustworthy and punctual
- Resilient and calm under pressure with the ability to multi-task and prioritise to help solve problems and overcome challenges
- Self-confidence and an interest in self-development.
- Physically able to conduct all responsibilities associated with the roles documented
- Ability to work to instruction and on your own initiative where required
- Flexibility in regard to working practices, hours and responsibilities.
- Either a current and valid SIA (DS as a minimum) license
- Enhanced communication, listening and customer service skills or the ability to train, obtain, retain and develop further in this field.
- First Aid qualification

**Desirable Skills**:

- Exposure to relevant Protective Security or Counter Terrorism Training
- Previous experience of the security industry and / or within the hospitality sector
- Previous experience in technologies to detect security threats in any given environment
