New Chapters Fostercare is an Independent Fostering Agency that specializes in therapeutic parenting and relationship building. An exciting opportunity for a full-time Administrator to join our team in Upton Magna, Shrewsbury has arisen.

In order to successfully complete our mission—to give every kid a New Chapter and a place to call home—we are seeking a dedicated individual who can deliver a high level of administration to a multidisciplinary team.

This represents a great opportunity to join a well-established and growing company with a commitment to career development. Experience of the fostering sector is desirable but not essential as comprehensive training on systems and processes will be providedvia a comprehensive Induction.

** Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of an Administrator include, but are not limited to:

- Take responsibility for providing a comprehensive administrative service to the Directors, Office Manager, Supervising Social Workers (SSW’s) and other New Chapters staff and carers.
- Monitor and enforce the physical and systems security and confidentiality of the New Chapters office. Assist staff with IT trouble shooting.
- Assist the Directors with the advertising and recruitment of vacancies within New Chapters Fostercare.
- Assist with the induction training for all newly appointed New Chapters staff.
- Liaise with social workers, fostering families and local authority social workers to obtain feedback for annual review
- Plan, co-ordinate and schedule annual reviews for foster carers
- Prepare panel paperwork/Form F’s and annual review feedback for panel members or Independent Reviewing Officer at least 5 working days prior to panel or annual review
- Assist in the co-ordination and administration of panel meetings, foster carer annual reviews, training, recruitment and support events
- Work at all times in accordance with New Chapters Fostercare policies and procedures and regulations applicable to fostering services
- Observe the strict rules of confidentiality appropriate to the post

** The Company
New Chapters began in 2014 with a small group of child focused foster carers in Shropshire. Dissatisfied with their agency they decided to look into setting up their own fostering agency to improve the care and support given to them and the children in theircare. Their first step was to approach a manager who shared their beliefs and had the qualities to make this happen.Two further professionals were vital to build this team and once they were on board the work to create the agency began.

- Have good written and verbal communication skills, including an excellent telephone manner.
- You will have a systematic, well-organised approach to working.
- You will be someone who is well motivated, enthusiastic and able to take direction at the same time as having the confidence to come up with new ideas and solutions in ensuring the smooth running of the office and maintaining regulatory compliance.
- You will manage your own workload and be skilled at multi-tasking.
