**Brief Description**:
Our client has an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Lead Developer.
The Lead Developer will play a key pivotal role in the design and implementation of our client’s products, applicants, websites and tools, both external and internal.
Modern development requires a broad range of skills along with a natural aptitude for rapid self-learning. A full stack developer is required to have good knowledge and experience spanning a wide range of tools and technologies as well as being an expertin 1 or more specific fields.
The full stack.net developer will assist the development manager and key business stakeholders in turning project requirements into the appropriate technical tasks for the development team and producing sensible estimates for these tasks.
**Requirements**:
Implementation and/or configuration / components that comprise the product. Includes:
- Take a driving role in the full development cycle through requirements gathering, analysis of requirements, design, construction, testing and deployment.
- Promoting and following good development practice, implementing appropriate methodologies when required.
- Promoting a positive work ethic, demonstrating a willingness to work beyond your own sphere of expertise, in order to deliver on time when and where necessary.
Ensuring that all completed code / configuration has been sufficiently tested and reaches or exceeds the quality expected by our client, including implementation of repeatable test automation modules where possible.
Supporting the project management and analysis functions within the team providing detailed technical information where required. Includes:
- Monitoring the progress of your individual tasks and providing appropriate, detailed and accurate feedback to the team and management.
- Creation of best effort estimates of the complexity and amount of work involved in aspects of projects where you are knowledge or considered an expert.
- Taking an active part in project ceremonies, offering constructive and honest feedback of positive and negative aspects of the project.
Reviewing the work of other developers within the team and where appropriate, providing guidance and mentoring. Includes:
- Peer & junior code reviews.
- Grok talks on areas of expertise.
- Suggestions & demonstrations for new tools, techniques and approaches that will raise the knowledge bar within the team.
Supporting other functions both within the team and across our clients on matters where you are considered an expert or where your opinion would be valued by others.
**Technical Skills**:
- Significant experience using the.Net stack & related technologies including: C#, VB.Net, Asp.Net MVC, WebApi, SQLServer, TFS, Git, Visual Studio.
- Solid knowledge of the.Net framework and advanced usage such a multi-threading, reflection, lamdas, events, Linq etc.
- Experience of creating NuGet packages and custom build steps.
- Extensive experience safely refactoring legacy code.
- Familiarity with continuous integration or continuous deployment techniques.
**Other**:
- Has previously worked within high performing teams, specifically using agile methodologies such as Scrum or XP
- Has a passion for technology and a desire to continuously learn.
**Communication**:
- Employs effective communications with team, peers and internal management.
- Is an effective communicator, able to explain technical concepts to a range of audiences including non-technical staff
- Is comfortable creating and delivering technical presentations and live coding demonstrations.
**Delivery**:
- Able to plan, allocate and manage development work for both themselves and their junior team members
- Is responsible for the delivery of key modules within a project
- Has a good understanding and appreciation of business drivers
- Is responsible for the quality of the delivery from both junior developers and their own deliverables.

- Is driven, enthusiastic and always strives to achieve something better than expected
- Able to identify, isolate and resolve complex problems within the context of the project deliverables
- Able to identify where issues need to be escalated along with possible options for mitigation
- Has clear understanding of their role and its interdependencies and can operate with an agreed level of autonomy within the confines of the project
- Makes good decisions based on experience and facts, taking all viewpoints and essential drivers into account.

- Provides mentoring and guidance to junior and less experienced project team members
