Business Development Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager within a growing national training provider at their headquarters in Newcastle. They are a growing provider with strong core values and are looking to add an experienced BusinessDevelopment Manager to their team.
As a Business Development Manager, you will engage with businesses across the North of Tyne (Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland), offering a range of learning and development solutions in sectors including manufacturing, warehousing, logistics and storage.
For this position you will need a Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own transport along with a willingness to travel across the region.
The package available for the position of Business Development Manager:

- Basic salary of up to £27810 with OTE of £32960.
- Free parking.
- 20 days holiday plus Christmas shutdown.
- Reward and Recognition scheme.
- Pension with employers’ contributions of 9%.
- Social activities and events.
Purpose of the role of the Business Development Manager:

- To develop links with employers in warehousing, manufacturing, storage and logistics through out the North of Tyne area.
- Professionally and effectively employ sales skills to achieve sales targets.
- To source and engage with employers using a range of sales and business development strategies.
- Complete training needs analysis with employers to identify needs and offer solutions.
- Build and develop relationships on an ongoing basis from initial contact to post delivery.
- Maintain knowledge of programmes available along with funding rules and requirements.
- Support recruitment, initial assessment, enrolment and induction of work-based learners.
- Attend regular networking events, represent the business at key stakeholder events, marketing, and promoting the Company in a positive image, being able to respond to business opportunities.
Skills, experience and qualifications required for the position of Business Development Manager:

- Experience and confidence in developing key sales leads, including cold calling and participating in promotional activities and events.
- Experience of negotiation and exceeding challenging targets.
- An understanding of the Work-Based Learning sector or ESF programmes would be an advantage.
- Occupational experience of working with manufacturing, warehousing, logistics or storage.
- Maths and English at Level 2 or above (or equivalent GCSE’s grade A to C or 4 to 9).
- For this position you will need a Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own transport along with a willingness to travel across the region.
