As the Linking London Partnership Officer, you will work with the Director and the team to contribute to the successful running of the Linking London partnership of 50 members.
You will help ensure that Linking London’s key aims and objectives of both the Business and Strategic Plans are met. Developing effective working relationships with key contacts in our HE partner institutions, further education and sixth form colleges and strategic partners and external stakeholders is an important part of the role.
You will work closely with our partners to ensure the Linking London offer, which includes staff development events, partner support, including OfS requirements, research and resource development, meets the needs of the partnership.
You will be responsible for leading on several work strands, which include organising and delivering, including chairing events where required, producing newsletters and resources and providing website updates. As part of this role you will also contribute to the ongoing review and evaluation of the work of Linking London, including the identification of new priorities going forward.
In order to be successful in this role you will have experience of working within the Further or Higher Education Sector in a student facing / widening participation position and a commitment to improving social mobility and success for college learners into higher level learning in all its variety.
You will have a good understanding of recent developments in education and widening participation and success in Further and Higher Education, as well as having excellent written, interpersonal communication and relationship building skills. You will also have experience of planning, delivering and chairing meetings and events.
This role will combine working in the Linking London office, travelling to London partner colleges and universities to attend meetings, as well as working remotely. The post holder will be line managed by the Director of Linking London.
**Remuneration**:
Grade 6 of the College's London Pay Scale which is £34,343 rising to £39,173 per annum
The salary quoted is on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
