National Highways has an exciting new opportunity for a PMO reporting Assistant working on the Smart Motorways Programme (SMP) within our Major Projects directorate.
We are looking for a self
- starter who can work to deadlines to produce a range of high-quality reports and presentations for our varied stakeholders. Accuracy and attention to detail will be key to this role ensuring that submissions are received in a timelyand efficient manner.
What you’ll be leading on
- Deliver the provision of consistently high-quality regular, timely and accurate programme and project reports, identifying and reporting on trends and emerging issues on Safety, Time, Cost and Quality information to inform decision making.
- Analyse and reconcile Programme data using Power Bi and Excel for National Highways Business Software Systems (HART, P6, CRM, Oracle) and the Business Information Framework within Smart Motorways Programme (SMP). Maintain relationships with key data ownersto ensure consistency in the provision of information.
- Collaborate with SMP Alliance colleagues, Delivery Teams, and Major Projects Delivery Services to ensure timely and accurate submission of data and information in compliance with the Reporting drumbeat, to support all reporting requirements.
- Lead on the set up and maintenance of regular liaison meetings with Major Projects Delivery Services, SMP Alliance Reporting Team and the Business Information Framework Development Team. Collaborate across the teams to ensure continuous improvement andefficiency in reporting outputs
- Support the identification, development, and implementation of digital reporting initiatives within the Programme and wider Major Project Directorate. Liaise with key stakeholders to achieve reporting enhancements at Programme and Project level.
- Identify, plan, and implement training to PMO, SMP Alliance and Delivery colleagues on corporate and divisional reporting systems (MP Drive, Business Information Framework). Support Delivery Teams in the resolution of queries and issues to ensure programmereporting requirements are met.
To be successful you’ll need
- Proficient user of MS Office software with advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Knowledgeable in the use of Power Bi or equivalent software to develop and analyse reports.
- Experience of capturing and analysing Performance Management data to agreed time and quality standards.
- Experience of producing complex reports and presentations.
- Experience in data analysis, trend analysis
- Experience of managing relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
