MERJE are partnered with an established Insurance business in their search for an Interim Regulatory Reporting Accountant.

To be considered you **MUST** have experience is Solvency II / IFRS / UK GAAP / IRISH GAAP

Key accountabilities:
Drive data improvements throughout to assist with quality regulatory reporting

Drive business understanding of the data changes

Involved with the preparation and final delivery of some of the following activities

External UK and Irish GAAP financial statements for UK and Irish legal entities (FUL, FML, FEHL, and FIID)

Solvency II returns (QRTs) for annual and quarterly submissions for the UK and Irish entities

Bermuda statutory return for the Bermuda legal entity (FIBL)

BMA quarterly and annual reporting for Bermuda entities (BSCR)

Assist in preparation of narrative reporting (SFCR and RSR)

Regulatory reporting to the FCA for UK legal entities (RMAR)

US regulatory reporting (NAIC, TRIA)

Other regulatory reporting (e.g. Chinese reinsurance, Belgium premium disclosure

Capital management

Liaise with internal and external audit

Support the establishment of accounting controls and procedures for regulatory reporting

Tax would be an advantage:
Assist in preparation of corporation tax returns and provisions for Fidelis legal entities, including estimating tax for quarterly group accounts. Ownership of all corporation tax bookings.

VAT returns for UK and Irish VAT groups

Maintain and improve internal controls and procedures documentation

Ad hoc projects as required

Skills & experience:
A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

At least 3 years’ post qualification experience preferably gained in an insurance/reinsurance environment and a solid accounting foundation and working knowledge of the ledger

Detailed knowledge of insurance accounting

Advanced and proven financial, analytical and organizational skills
