This is an excellent opportunity to join the Department for International Trade (DIT) and join a global network of highly dedicated staff bringing together policy, promotion, and financial expertise. You’ll be joining as a Smarter Working Engagement Managerpermanently from the Darlington office on a fulltime basis with a hybrid working pattern.

**Your Role
This role will include supporting the delivery of a clear vision for change in identified programmes and projects, including championing the use of best practice business change management frameworks (including standards, tools and processes). Conductingstakeholder engagement with key contacts, ensuring artifacts from the change management framework are used appropriately. Drafting and reviewing internal communications, tailored to a diverse range of stakeholder needs. Designing and delivering ‘people related’change activities throughout the project life cycles. These activities include, for example, stakeholder mapping and engagement, change impact assessments, change readiness activities and supporting leaders with change. Carrying out data-gathering with stakeholdersvia a range of activities including workshops, interviews and secondary research. Analysing data to inform decisions on people, culture and behaviour change needs and requirements for successful delivery. Monitoring and reporting on progress against the changeplan to relevant governance structures. Contributing to Directorate development by knowledge sharing, helping with change resource development and role modelling best practice.

**What you’ll need to succeed
**Essential Criteria**:

- Experience of change programme delivery
- Ability to systematically identify, analyse and communicate with stakeholders, using appropriate channels, to ensure all those impacted by the change are engaged.
- Ability to undertake group facilitation and workshop design.

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Experience of working on embedding smarter working or hybrid working in a central government department.
- Experience of working in organisational Change programmes.
- Experience of cultural and behaviour change.
- Change qualification such as APM Change Management or Prosci.
- Familiarity with project management tools and frameworks.
- Experience or awareness of the Government’s Smarter Working programme.

**What you’ll get in return**:
You’ll receive a competitive salary between £38,052 and £41,912 per annum, based on experience plus a great benefit package including working from home options 2/3 days per week.
