We are delighted to be supporting our Client based in Folkestone who are seeking an experienced Buyer to join their team on a fixed term contract. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and contracting for specified spend categories within thebusiness.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supply gap analysis
- You will be supporting the commercial relationship between internal teams and external suppliers, ensuring customer needs are always met and strong working relationships are formed and managed
- You will be required to attend meetings with suppliers on and off site, 10% of the role will include travelling to do so
- Manage any issues and complaints for the portfolio in charge
- Provide cover for your manager as and when required
- Provide vendor management for projects
- Follow strategic and commercial business goals to manage risk when negotiating agreements to meet business objectives
- Provide project management and commercial expertise for various spend categories

**Skills and experience required**:

- You must be confident using SAP
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Experience in commodity management and project sourcing
- Significant Purchasing experience with a track record of delivering cost improvements
- Experience with end-to-end supply chain
