Buying Office Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Buying Office Assistant, based in the Hyde area.
Permanent Monday to Friday role
35hours per week: 9.00am - 5.00pm
1-hour unpaid lunch break
**Duties will include**:
- Preparing completed requisitions in the ERP System for approval, making sure all correct information has been added (financial and department codes etc.)
- Converting requisitions into purchase orders and planning purchase orders for approval
- Updating any supplier detail changes with the ERP system, after being authorised by a director
- Liaising with suppliers to ensure that deliveries will be made to the agreed schedules.
- Managing returns procedure and stock levels within ERP System to ensure no shortages of SKU’s
- Responsible for creating monthly report for the purchasing manager, describing all activities and savings
- Arranging collections, notifying internal customers and suppliers of the retuned goods
- Maintaining correct levels of stock e.g., packaging, office supplies, printer cartridges, toners etc
- Negotiating prices with new and existing suppliers
- Organising travel arrangements
- Ordering employee clothing/shoes and arranging payments for clothing with department managers, finance, and credit control
- Maintaining companies’ procedures, whilst performing the positions requirements
- Maintaining continuity of leasing of company vehicles
- Keeping a clean and tidy work area, complying with the health and safety standards
- Can carry out other responsibilities and any day-to-day queries, possibly in other departments, when required
- Have experience of working in purchasing
- Have good Microsoft Office systems skills. Systems such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
