**KEY POSITION REQUIREMENTS**
**PURPOSE**
As the Quality Team Leader you will be responsible for the operations of an area within the Manufacturing function, supporting the Quality shift Supervisor with day
- to day management of their manufacturing area. You will be overseeing a group of operators ensuring an efficient operation in achieving business targets. Providing leadership and line management to the team, coordinating their workloads and providing support to ensure that the team delivers. This includes addressing any issues that arise in the course of the shift, timely escalation to the key stakeholders, ensuring production targets are met, understand, communicate and strive towards meeting Key Performance
Indicators (KPIs) and ensure quality standards are met in order to meet the requirements of the customer. Developing the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of working safely.
**CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT OF JOB**
The Company assemble and supply Exterior trims world-wide to the automotive OEM’s.
Consequently, the Company must remain in compliance with the latest and expected
Industry and Customer standards in respect of Quality, Cost and Delivery.
The Company ensures that a customer and product focus is maintained by dividing the organization into specific Customer Product Groups.
The overall objective is to be the supplier of choice by being able to develop, design,
assemble and supply product to an ever-increasing standard of excellence. With the quality goal being zero defects, the company is established as the center of excellence for the Design, Development, and Industrialization of Exterior product.

You would be situated on the factory floor, with a team of fellow professionals, working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You would be required to adhere to all
Health, Safety and Environmental procedures whilst at work.
**MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Individual Responsibilities**:
- Work to ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards.
- Ensure that team members follow standard work as defined, manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements
- Drive shiftly target achievement - safety, output, quality, scrap, efficiency
- Ensure full adherence to 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) practices at all times
- Ensure all records are completed appropriately
- Ensure that non-conforming material is clearly identified and segregated
- Ensure that the escalation procedure for quality concerns is followed
- Ensure the team are aware of day-to-day targets and responsibilities
- Maintain visible lead for adherence to procedures and instructions
- Monitor change over and/or line set up efficiency
- Prepare line set-ups for following shifts, including first part buyoffs
- Monitor and maintain all safety equipment and tools
- Undertake continuous training and development
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
- Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization

- Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor quality

**Experience**:
- Leading small group activities to drive improvement
- Assisting and developing (multi-skilled) people
- Strong PC skills and experience of packages such as Excel
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and recognized QC tools
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
- Knowledge of Quality standard TS16949
- Understanding of production costs to include waste, downtime and scrap
