NRL are proud to be recruiting on behalf of AESC for Quality Team Leaders to join their world‑leading, global Battery Manufacturing organisation based in the North East of England. In this role you will support the development and operation of a world‑class, innovative, large‑scale mass manufacturing plant. This is a unique and rare opportunity to join one of the most exciting, large scale, net zero industrial developments where new and emerging technologies will be adopted in support of the rapidly growing electric vehicle marketplace. Mission and role details: AESC is the world’s leading battery technology company and lithium‑ion battery manufacturer. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of one of the North East’s highest‑profile manufacturing plants as we are expanding our operations at our battery manufacturing plant in Sunderland. Support QA Engineering and Supervisors in their duties during routine production and new model preparation. Lead a team of Inspectors whilst supporting all activities to ensure a safe working environment. Outline and Responsibilities: Stand in for QA Engineer / Supervisor when required Lead a team of QA inspectors on shift Maintain standards relating to Safety, Quality and Environmental Support delivery and cost objectives QA Inspection activities in all Production areas (Electrode, Cell, Module, Pack) Lead with a strong sense of customer focus Shift handover reporting Containment activity for non‑conforming material Experience & qualifications Required: Experience within a Li Battery facility Experience of IATF16949 Knowledge of VDA (desirable) Production and Trial preparation experience (desirable) Man‑management experience (desirable) Working towards HNC or higher or Battery plant experience. PC Literate Additional: Ability to travel when required What's in it for you?
