Our programme facilitators are our front line team, delivering innovative and exciting programmes with young people across our network of schools, colleges, businesses and community organisations.

Our work with NHS Foundation trusts, which the successful appointed will lead on, aims to provide a platform for young people in education and the wider community to share ideas and suggestions for service improvement, whilst giving young people the opportunity to engage in conversations on mental health and wellbeing with peers, local community and the trust.

This work with NHS Foundation trusts includes delivering a series of one-day ‘Mental Health & Wellbeing Roadshow Days’ in schools and colleges, plus coordinating and leading a ‘Trusts Youth Board’ that focuses on working with professionals to translate this into tangible change in the work of the trust.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**To organise, plan and facilitate bespoke student voice events in collaboration with our public sector partners**
- To organise, plan and facilitate bespoke student voice events on behalf of our public sector partners. This will involve building programmes that meet the individual needs and priorities of the commissioning organisation. These events will engage young people on key priorities of our public sector partners and key issues for young people e.g mental health. This will involve designing agendas, managing event resources, liaising with key points of contact and managing attendance from multiple schools, colleges and partners.

**To organise, plan and facilitate young people’s boards in collaboration with our public sector partners**
- To organise, plan and facilitate young people’s boards in collaboration with public sector partners. These boards involve a group of young people working with professionals to help shape policies and priorities of public sector organisations whilst feeding into the work of the Council of Governors and to represent the programme at other events.
- This will involve supporting with recruiting young people, organising meetings, supporting young people to implement their suggestions and liaising with our partners on young people’s board agendas.

**Work in partnership and manage relationships with key stakeholders**
- Liaise and manage relationships with key stakeholders to work in partnership with and promote Unloc’s work. This includes working with key stakeholders within the local trust to ensure they are inputting and supporting the wider work, alongside Local Authorities, Education Trusts, Businesses and Community Interest Groups.

**Provide regular updates to management**

**Provide additional support and opportunities for students**
- Provide support and additional opportunities for young people you work with where possible.

**Support other Unloc projects**
- Aid other Unloc projects as and when required by the team (in consultation between you and your line manager).

**Person Specification**:
**Qualifications**

**Essential**:

- GCSE Maths and English at grade A*-C / 9-4 (or equivalent).
- Two A-Levels at grade A*-C (or equivalent).

**Desirable**:

- Level 2 ICT qualification.

**Experience and Knowledge**

**Essential**:

- Previous work with young people.

**Desirable**:

- Previous knowledge and/or experience of the education sector.
- Previous knowledge and/or experience of stakeholder management.
- Previous knowledge and/or experience of the health sector.

**Abilities and Skills**

**Essential**:

- Ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
- Ability to manage complex projects.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- High-level communication skills including written and verbal communication.

**Desirable**:

- High-level of skill when using G Suite.
- Ability to maintain a professional online image including social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter. This includes promoting Unloc’s work and opportunities for young people.

- Passionate about student voice.
- Willingness to undertake staff training and development as required.
- Willingness to travel across the Solent region on a frequent basis and occasionally elsewhere in the UK.
