**Summary**: Reporting into the Warehouse Operations manager, the Inventory Manager plays a key role in delivering operational excellence. The Inventory manager will have specific responsibilities for all inventory held at Haydock and Lutterworth.As such they need to work closely with the various clients, developing strong working relationships with personnel within the client's teams. Given the nature of the client's stock pile the Inventory Manager will need to help identify continuous improvementopportunities for the client. The Inventory Manager plays a critical role ensuring the accuracy and quality of stock pile to keep the operation in a state of perpetual readiness. They must also be experienced in engaging with the operation to provide meaningfulfeedback and insight, to drive improvements in operational processes.

In addition to the above the Inventory Manager will also be responsible for the Goods In department and all processes operated within it.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver and lead a culture of safety within the operation, through team mate engagement, pro-active identification of issues and understanding of incident root cause through accident investigation.
- Ensure that the company is compliant with pharmaceutical regulations, by working with the quality department to maintain and develop SOPs. Take responsibility to be aware of and address issues with SOP non-compliance.
- Ensure Inventory accuracy and integrity across all contracts.
- Reporting - Provide management reporting to demonstrate the controls and accuracy of the inventory and which highlight any opportunities for improvement.
- Manage a team of inventory controllers, inventory analysts and team leads.
- Lead the continuous improvement program for the department, focused on safety, quality and productivity. Use Lean principles to guide improvements.
- Engage in root cause analysis activities to eliminate problems from the operation.
- Develop and maintain resourcing plans to ensure your department has sufficient resources to meet the daily operational demands. Ensure that you have the right resources and right equipment at the right time.
- Engage directly with all Departments to deliver successful client implementations as required.
- Work with Key Account Managers to engage with clients and resolve any potential issues.
- Take ownership to problem solve issues for clients and work collaboratively with other functions to find solutions for the clients and patients.
- Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organisations policies and procedures.
- Set out & monitor the delivery of key requirements and expectations for the team mates on a daily basis.
- Provide management cover to control operational emergencies such as, emergency lifesaving orders, temperature excursions, intruder activation's or security breaches.
- **Key Skills/Experience**:

- 3+ years' experience in inventory management, leading teams and working in fast moving environments
- Ability to effectively and purposefully analyse data
- Delivering and leading process change
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in team environment
- Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
- Experience of Lean principles to drive change
