Catering Assistant

**Forth Valley Royal Hospital, Larbert, FK5 4WR**

**Permanent, Part-Time (20 hours)**

**(Flexible Working, 2pm - 8pm, Full Training Provided)**

**Pay rate: £10.03 per hour + company benefits**

Here at Serco we’re looking for experienced Catering Assistants to join our team at Forth Valley Royal Hospital. The catering function is responsible for 850 beds in the ACUTE site plus 8 community sites with 24 wards.

As the Catering Assistant, you will be responsible for correct cleaning down procedures are adhered to at all times, assist with the cleaning of crockery /cutlery, maintain standards of safety and hygiene and safely store fresh and frozen foods. You will also carry out duties including preparation of food and beverages in line with preparation procedures, using standard recipes and portion control. In addition to this you will adhere to temperature monitoring, receipt, storage procedures and ensure all restaurant equipment is in a clean and hygienic condition.

**What you’ll need to do the role**

You will have a basic food hygiene certificate, good communication skills and knowledge of working with chemicals for cleaning / COSSH awareness
