Job Summary

Working within the Centre of Expertise (COE) for Media, the Media Manager is responsible for ensuring we deliver best-in-class pan-European channel strategies and plans to deliver against our online annual sales and business goals for TJX Europe.

Reporting to the Manager Of Media, the Media Manager will partner with agencies and collaborate across COEs, market teams and Ecommerce, maximising efficiency and effectiveness to deliver against KPIs.

The role is an exciting, dynamic and varied management role focused on the development and delivery of brilliant projects and optimisations to support achievement of the online annual sales and business goals.

The Manager will be a source of media & digital expertise, actively researching and embedding innovations within performance media, digital, data and technology, and driving an ongoing internal education & stakeholdering programme to drive the business forward.

The role requires somebody who is highly collaborative, comfortable working with a broad stakeholder network across Europe, is highly numerate and has a working knowledge of performance digital media and wider implications for advertising.

Key Responsibilities:
Drive pan-European SEO planning, partnering internally and with agencies to deliver in line with business goals and priorities
Responsible for strong channel plan integration from brief through to delivery, ensuring strategic media and creative fit and clear KPIs
Partner with Paid Search Manager to ensure paid and organic strategies and plans compliment, not cannibalise, each other, continually reviewing through the year
Partner with Brand Media, Media Effectiveness and Omnichannel Market teams to maximise overall impact of media plans and initiatives
Partner with Insight & Analytics to ensure we are leveraging data and insight to its full potential within SEO
Review and optimise plans against objectives quarterly and monthly, maximising customer and trading opportunities and mitigating against external challenges
Review progress with agencies and key internal partners quarterly and share back results and learnings to improve impact and effectiveness of SEO
Maintain up to date knowledge of SEO through the wider industry, and educate TJX on developments, driving the adoption of new ideas and innovations
Create and nurture strong and effective relationships with external partners to identify and implement growth opportunities for TJX
Build and develop strong relationships with key business partners across Media, Brand & Marketing, cross-functionally across Europe and with global media teams, stakeholdering and influencing to deliver the most optimal strategies and plans for SEO
Support Manager of European Media with TJX stakeholdering to ensure performance media plans are communicated and understood across the business at all levels. Engage and present to wide stakeholder audiences, adapting style to audience
Manage agency account teams, ensuring all new joiners are fully inducted to TJX, setting clear objectives and direction, partnering and building relationships and providing constructive challenge to deliver great results
Support the Manager of European Media with budget management, including PO management and budgetary planning to keep costs under control and optimise performance
Partner with legal teams to ensure campaigns are compliant with regulations across markets

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Professional experience in Digital Performance Marketing across SEO, either client side or agency. Omnichannel experience preferred but not essential
Experience of working within a large retail business or matrix organization is preferable but not essential
Strong drive for results, a thirst and hunger to drive channel growth through revenue and sales
A passion and excitement for all things Digital Marketing
Solid digital, data, omnichannel knowledge and credible media expertise
Solid project management skills, proven ability to effectively plan and managed to tight deadlines
Great interpersonal, influencing and stakeholder management skills
Experience in managing third-party agencies to deliver results
Flexible, able to find solutions in uncertain or unknown circumstances, comfortable working ‘in the grey’
Highly numerate and confident with data, able to manage budgets effectively
Experience of working with task management tools: Microsoft Word, Excel, Trello, Google Docs
Technical working experience of the platforms that enable SEO eg - Linkdex, Google Search Console, Google Analytics
Knowledge of using search intelligence tools like Similar Web, Adthena and Linkdex
In app Marketing experience would be advantageous but not essential
Fluent in English - proven excellent writing and presenting skills
International experience, preferably gained in an omnichannel environment
