Logistics Team Leader

We are currently seeking a Team Leader to support our transport operation at our Dagenham Regional Distribution Centre. Working a 4 on 4 off (plus 13 floating shifts) alternating days and nights (average 45 hours per week). You will be supporting the shift FLM by managing and organising a diverse team of drivers and distribution personnel to meet the requirements of our customers and support the company ethos on safety first, continuous improvement and high quality working standards. Along side our company values of Quality, Accountability and Trust. **Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities** - Montior Health & Safety compliance within the function - Ensure compliance with all business systems including SAP, Microlise and other management tools - Monitor the daily return of all documentation from drivers and warehouse - Allocate and arrange staffing cover as deemed necessary - Efficiently manage the ad hoc journeys - Ensure employees hours and agency costs are correct and issued at a time agreed with the appropriate manager - Manager drivers hours within the working time directive and drivers hours legislation - Collate daily KPI targets - Maintain all aspects of customer service levels throughout the operation with focus on "on time, in full everytime" **Knowledge, Qualifications, Experience** **Essential** - Knowledge and understanding of systems within a losgistics function - Knowledge of Logistics/Manufacturing environment including HACCAP and Health & Safety legislative requirements - Good understanding of tachograph regulations and working time directive in relation to drivers hours **Experience** - Logistics and Warehouse operations within a FMCG or fast moving distribution business - Supervisory experience - Tachographs, telematics and vehicle defect knowledge/experience - Working with Trade Unions - Shift working We are based close to the A13 near Goresbrook.
