A fantastic opportunity has arisen at Dagenham Wharf to become a team Leader at one of the largest producing sand a gravel plants in the south east.

At Dagenham we produce approx. 2 million tons of material per annum. as part of your job role you will be responsible for assisting in production planning, assisting the fitter, running the wash plant and driving mobile plant. whilst adhering to high levelsof health safety and environmental policy's and procedures.

**Purpose of / Responsibilities of the role** A vacancy has arisen for a Team Leader to work Days on the wharf / sand and gravel plant. this is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step towards a supervisor / Management role.

Part of the role you will be responsible for liaising with the management team to provide daily stocks and production plan, whilst working closely with the supervisor making sure that site runs to the highest standard whilst meeting all health and safety/ environmental requirements, the role is 95% yard and machine based.

You will assume responsibility for the site at any time the Regional operations manager and Supervisor are absent/on holiday.
- To assist in the management of staff and wash plant
- To support the fitter in daily duties
- Making sure quality controls are met to highest standards
- As well your accountabilities as a general operative you will also be required to support the site supervisor in the day to day running of the site as required and to cover when the site supervisor is not on site.
- In conjunction with the site supervisor plan, co-ordinate and manage all site activities in a safe, efficient and effective manner
- In conjunction with site supervisor plan the production and ensure that this is executed correctly and meets company requirements, i.e quality, waste reduction etc.
- Ensure deliveries are managed on site and for our customers by liaising directly with the haulier or through the distribution department
- To ensure accurate stock control of both finished goods and inventory

**Skills / Experience** NVQ Level 2

mobile plant / FEL

Managing people minimum 1 years experience

Understanding of sand and gravel / wash plant

Good understanding of health safety and environmental policy's and procedures
