**What Are We Looking For?**
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Yard Controller to join us on a permanent basis, at our Muir of Ord facility. Your main duties will be to take responsibility of incoming goods in the yard including various steel material, oversee maintenance in the yard and ensure the area remains organised. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to progress their career into a unique position.
Some of Your Key Duties Include:
- Control all incoming and outgoing goods including arranging dispatch and transportation
- Supervise unloading activities to ensure safe and efficient handling of materials
- Perform sorting, quality checks, and accurate marking up of goods
- Ensure records are maintained and updated to reflect current inventory status
- Oversee inventory management of welding gases
- Liaising closely with Supervisors, Project Engineers & Project Managers
- Ensuring general housekeeping of the yard remains to a high standard
- Carry out all other tasks as requested within the post holder’s appropriate skill set
What Do You Need?
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with a team or independently
- Able to adapt to changing business requirements and challenges quickly and positively whilst efficiently prioritising workload/tasks
- Proficient with the use of Microsoft software
- Ability to identify and solve problems, manage multiple priorities and multi-task.
- Awareness of quality, environmental and health & safety rules and principles
- Manual Handling
- CSCS & FLT Counterbalance is desirable
- Full UK Driving Licence
